The dog bed we wish we'd been making years ago.

We used to buy four or five dog beds at TJ Maxx, watch our dogs trash them within months, and go back for more. Then we made our own. We haven't been back.

These are built for working dogs and dogs that do stuff - dogs that shed, get dirty, dig at their beds, and live actual outdoor lives.

These beds are built from mil-spec 1000D nylon Cordura in military colors, DWR-treated for water resistance – the same fabric used for tactical gear, rucksacks, and equipment that gets dragged through the dirt. Each bed is color-blocked from whatever's on the cutting table that day, which means no two beds are exactly alike. You'll get a unique mix of coyote brown, steel gray, ranger green, foliage, sandstone, or whatever else we've sourced. The beds in the photos are representative – yours will look similar but one-of-a-kind.

Quin is a working dog. She's chewed holes in every dog bed we've ever owned. She wasn't allowed beds in her crate because of it. We made her one of these months ago and she still hasn't put her mouth on it. Nothing about this bed is technically chew-proof – somehow it's just not appealing to chew. She now goes into her crate on her own, door open, to sleep on it. We don't know exactly why dogs leave the Cordura alone but we'll take it.

The construction

• Outer cover: mil-spec 1000D nylon Cordura, DWR-treated, double-stitched seams, single long-side zipper for easy removal and washing
• Inner pillow: separate liner with its own single long-side zipper for fluffing or refilling, also fully removable
• Fill: shredded memory foam from Lounj (USA-made, CertiPUR-US certified)
• Made by hand in Pine, Colorado by us, on our own machines, in our own workshop

Why shredded memory foam, not a solid block:

It's significantly more comfortable. It conforms to your dog's body instead of fighting against it. It's also why we sleep on memory foam pillows ourselves – we've been making them out of the same foam we use in these beds. There is one of these beds next to our desk and there is always, always, a dog on it. Different dog every hour or so. We have six.

Built to be maintained, not replaced:

Memory foam compresses with use. That's normal and not a defect. To re-fluff: remove the inner pillow and set it in direct sun for a few hours. The heat fluffs the foam back up and sunlight neutralizes any odor. If it's not sunny out, you can also toss the pillow in the dryer for 15 minutes (pin the zipper shut first). Want it even fluffier? We sell shredded memory foam refill bags separately. If your dog destroys the outer cover or you just want a fresh look, we sell replacement covers separately too.

Care

Shake it out or hose it off for everyday dirt. For deeper cleaning, remove the cover and wash on delicate/cold, then tumble dry on low.

30-day satisfaction guarantee: if it doesn't fit your space or your dog won't use it, send it back for a refund (less return shipping).

1-year construction warranty: if a seam pops, a zipper breaks, or hardware fails, we'll fix or replace it free.

What we don't cover: chewing damage (no bed is chew-proof, and we won't pretend ours is), normal foam compression (which is fixable with the dryer trick), or general wear from years of use. These beds are built to be maintained, not babied.

• Chew-resistant, not chew-proof. If your dog can destroy a bed, supervise accordingly.
