Our custom-fit crate pads combine tough, water-resistant 1000D mil-spec Cordura with 3" of plush, supportive CertiPUR-US memory foam.

Made to fit RuffLand, Impact, KBC, Variocage, Gunner, M.A.D., TransK9, Vari Kennel, Midwest, Dakota, and custom builds.

We have six dogs of our own (2 Dutchies, a Mal, a Lab, a Golden, and a JRT), and this whole thing started because we couldn't find decent pads for our KBC custom van crates. The ones we tried were too thin, didn't fit right, and bunched up.

So we started making our own.

You choose the size and colors. We make it in Pine, Colorado, and cut it to fit your crate like a glove.

WHY 3" OF MEMORY FOAM

We use 3" of solid, open-cell CertiPUR-US memory foam, cut from a king-size mattress topper made for humans. The same kind of foam you'd want to sleep on yourself.

It's plush, supportive, and conforms to your dog's body, helping distribute pressure around elbows, hips, and other contact points.

Some kennel pads use firm, closed-cell foam that doesn't compress much under your dog's weight. It's tough, but it feels a lot like lying on a gym mat.

We wanted both: a pad tough enough for working dogs, with the comfort of a real mattress.

Eight hours on a hard pad is eight hours on a hard pad.

Want a different thickness? We think 3" is the sweet spot, but we can also make 2" pads for kennels where headroom is tight, or extra-plush 4" pads for dogs who could use a little more cushioning. No extra charge! Just email us at hello@coolorado.com to arrange it.

COLORS

Military earth tones? Absolutely. Peacock Teal with Lime Green? Hell yes.

Choose up to three colors at no extra charge:

Base Color: Bottom and long sides, including the zipper panel
Top Color: The surface your dog sleeps on
Front/Back Color: The two short ends

For a classic two-color pad, choose the same color for Top and Front/Back. Or mix it up with three different colors.

Love our Cotopaxi-inspired combinations? Choose "Military Mix" and we'll mix the military colors for you.

Want a bright color as your base, or an all-over bright pad? We can do that for an additional $10 per pad, since those fabrics cost us quite a bit more. Message us to arrange it.

If you need something over 59" long, let us know and we'll give you a custom estimate.

No guessing, no "close enough." Tell us your crate dimensions and we'll cut your pad specifically for your kennel.

HOW TO MEASURE FOR A CUSTOM PAD

For hard-shell crates (RuffLand, Impact, Dakota, Variocage), measure the interior floor. Don't measure conservatively! It's better for the crate pad to fit snug than to slide around. Bend your measuring tape up against the wall and take the measurement right at the wall.

For wire crates (Midwest, etc.), measure the exterior frame. If you're unsure about the dimensions, contact us before ordering.

Odd sizes, angled floors, double compartments, and one-off builds? Bring them on.

We've made pads for complicated setups like 60/40 split, angled, double-compartment Variocages, and weird cut-outs like Gunners. If your kennel has an unusual shape, we'll work with you to figure out the dimensions and make pads that actually fit.

THE ZIPPER

The low-profile zipper runs the length of one side, tucked under a sewn-down Cordura flap that covers it completely. The flap helps protect the zipper from moisture and everyday messes, with nothing sticking up for a dog to grab or chew on.

CUSTOM EMBROIDERY

Want to add your dog's name, kennel name, logo, or other embroidery? We can sometimes make that happen!

We work with a local small-business embroiderer, so availability is limited and embroidered orders may take longer. Message us before ordering for pricing and availability.

BUILT FOR WORKING DOGS

Our crate pads are built for working dogs and dogs that do stuff. Dogs that get dirty, dig, shed, travel, compete, and actually use their gear.

The 1000D Cordura is the same rugged fabric used for military backpacks, duffel bags, and tactical gear. It's tough, abrasion-resistant, and water-resistant, but it's also flexible and has a comfortable woven texture – not stiff, slick vinyl.

And while there's a full 3" of memory foam inside, it's not like putting a rigid 3" platform in the bottom of your kennel. The foam has plenty of give, conforming to your dog's body as they settle in.

No dog bed is indestructible, though.

As Todd likes to say: "Every dog deserves a bed. Until they don't."

CARE

For everyday dirt, shake it out or hose it off. Don't jet spray or power wash.

For deeper cleaning, remove the cover and machine wash on cold, then tumble dry on low (it helps to throw a dry towel or two in with it).

The memory foam itself should not go in the washing machine.

OUR WARRANTY

We stand behind our workmanship.

If the fit is off, let us know and we’ll make it right.

Lifetime construction warranty: If a seam, zipper, or attachment fails because of a manufacturing defect, we'll fix or replace it for free.

What we don't cover: chewing damage (no bed is chew-proof, and we won't pretend ours is), normal foam compression, or general wear from years of use.

These pads are built to be maintained, not babied. Replacement covers and foam inserts are available – just message us.

CUSTOM / MADE TO ORDER - NO RETURNS

Every pad is made specifically for your crate, so we can't accept returns simply because you've changed your mind or don't like your color choices.

If something arrives wrong, doesn't fit the agreed-upon dimensions, is defective, or is damaged in shipping, contact us immediately and we'll make it right.
